Football through my lens.

On Saturday I saw my favorite sport from a different perspective - up-close and personal on the sidelines. That's right, I stood on the field as my Bears beat Mizzou, but that envied vantage point came with the responsibility of capturing every game-chaning moment. My sole purpose in Floyd Casey that day revolved around photographing the football game.

What I'll assume is a pre-game prayer or moment of humbleness.

At first I was nervous, not physically by the means of shaking hands or fidgeting, but mentally. I had no prior experience with the heavy chunk of camera I needed to use and scenarios ran through my head of what would happen if I missed a climatic moment of the game.

The first quarter consisted of looking confused; running the entire length of the field, minimally, ten times; and trying not to get tackled. I considered that fifteen minutes my warm up because, by the second half, I was in love. I never thought to integrate two of my favorite passions - football and photography - but the combination was riveting.

Extending to you, football through my eyes, camera and soul. The Baylor Bear win over the University of Missouri, 42 - 39. Sic 'em photojournalism.

P.S. It's a love-hate relationship with watermarks, you understand?
